Together with stakeholders and decision makers from politics, industry and science the MÜNCHNER KREIS discussed at the “Berlin dialogue” on October 14 how the turnaround in energy policy can be managed in detail.
All participants agreed that the future energy management system is going to be more complex than the internet. The great task of developing this most multilayered artifact of mankind lies ahead of us. The supply security in such a system can only be stabilized and guaranteed by means of information- and communication technology. Big Data is a topic which plays according to the experts also an important role in the energy system of the future. To ensure the society’s acceptance in this matter, the key word is transparency since we in Germany are skeptical about the collection of data.
In July this year, the MÜNCHNER KREIS has already published the position paper “50 recommendations for a successful energy transition”, which provided the basis for the “Berlin dialogue”. In the paper, a decentralized arranged ITK management system is identified as basis of a successful energy transition. Last Thursday, Prof. Dr. Dieter Rombach, head of the working group energy of the MÜNCHNER KREIS, handed the paper over to federal minister Sigmar Gabriel at a meeting at the Fraunhofer IESE in Kaiserslautern.
Headline Affairs supported the MÜNCHNER KREIS in press relations for the position paper’s publication as well as the event in Berlin.
